Production Design

My process in Production Design derives from my understanding of story, behavioral and character psychology and color psychology.  I create my design by intimately understanding the story beat by beat and the characters and proceed to meticulously create a design for each set (and set changes if applicable).

I have worked with many challenges including creating a floor plan from Airbnb pictures, built a set with limited space, funds, and time, re-creating important scripted props or set decor that could not be used due to copyright laws, transforming spaces with limited means and assistance, created graphics to replicated copywritten company sites, composed posters, newspaper articles and relative content necessary for script.

When it comes to special effects including props, lighting, camera, mechanical, digital and so on, I have worked with the director, DP, and Gaffer to create visual FX to be shot on the spot, in turn, saving money in post effects. 

​

Special skills include:

  • Create Floor Plans using pictures ONLY

  • replicating websites (copyright free)

  • Copyright replacements and spotting them!

  • costume design

  • Set Builds

  • Location transformations (using one location and transforming it for multiple set uses)

  • Flexible budgeting and tracking 

  • Customization of tangible and digital props

A transgender woman fights injustices, ridicule, and sexual trauma as she battles to pave a path into normalcy with her boyfriend.  On her journey to assimilate into society, she is forced to face cruel and iniquitous hatred from strangers, while callous deviancy from characters from her past attempt to hold her back.
